‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Thor 2’ and ‘Captain America 2’ Now Have Official Titles and Release Dates

Assemble, my fellow Avengers! Don’t put down those hammers and shields just yet, because there is more to come from the world’s greatest heroes. It was announced today during the Marvel Panel at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con that the sequels to “Iron Man”, “Thor” and the “Captain America: The First Avenger” now have official titles AND release dates!

The first to hit theaters will be none other than Mr. Tony Stark himself, in the second sequel in the Iron Man franchise. This time Tony will be (FINALLY!) doing battle with his arch nemesis The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). “Iron Man 3” is slated for a March 3, 2013 release!

The title for the upcoming Thor film is entitled “Thor: The Dark World” which just sounds like all sorts of sweet, sweet kickassery. Expect Thor to bring the thunder November 8 of next year!

Not to be outdone, good ol’ Captain America’s follow-up will be titled “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”. And for any fan of the book, “The Winter Soldier” is a big hint as to who will be the central focus of this story. Captain America arrives in theaters April 4, 2014.

So there you have it, more awesome news from Camp Marvel.  Thank you, Avengers. Thank you so, so much!
